Backyard Cut Flower Garden Course in collaboration with Sego Lily Flower Farm, Spring 2024

** Early bird pricing! Price increases March 10th, 2024**

Bring your dream of growing your own cut flower bouquets to life in this truly unique opportunity to learn from an expert in the field. We’ve partnered with Sego Lily Flower Farm to bring you a five-month, hands-on cut flower growing experience based right here at Snuck. You’ll start by learning the basics: what kinds of flowers grow best in our climate, how to plant for season-long harvest, how to choose a location for growing, and how to prepare your soil.

That’s where many classes end, but that’s just where ours begins.

All season long, you’ll apply the knowledge you gain through seminars in your own flower plot. These generous plots of land on our farm will serve as your workshop, where you’ll transform theory into a magnificent cut-flower garden. Sure, you can buy a book or watch a video. But that pales in comparison to the real-time support of Fawn Rueckert, a skilled and experienced flower farmer. She’s turned Sego Lily Flower Farm into a farm that makes the absolute most of its tiny space. With her at your side to teach techniques for enhancing your harvest and handling common issues, you’ll grow a huge variety of blooms. And of course, you’ll turn them into bouquets and arrangements to take home or share with friends.

What to expect:

    • Classes begin April 10th, 2024 and conclude October 5th, 2024.
    • Formal class instruction will take place every other Wednesday starting at 6:30 PM.
