Eating Seasonally on the Farm: Winter Broths, Stocks and Soup 2024 - January 17th

Date and Time: Wednesday, January 17th 2024
6:00PM-8:00PM

At this demonstration, Lindsey, from LK Cooking, will be your guide as you discover the difference between broth and stock; learn how to make broths and how to prepare seasonal soups from them. You’ll also learn how to incorporate greens into your winter meals and will be instructed on making a delicious salad with greens harvested right here on the farm.

Your evening will start with a quick peek into our hydroponic greenhouse, where you’ll discuss how hydroponics works, and see what is fresh on the farm right now. You’ll then come back to the farm kitchen, where Lindsey will demonstrate a few recipes that make the most of what the season has to offer. The evening will culminate in gathering around the farm table to share and sample the delicious food that was prepared.

The majority of the food used for this class will come from Snuck Farm and other local farms and artisans in the community.
