For the first time this summer, we’re excited to invite 9-12-year-old children to Snuck Farm for a four-day nature week. On mornings from 9am-12pm from July 15 to July 18, children will explore all the farm has to offer. In a series of hands-on activities led by Maddie Judge, they’ll investigate the needs of plants, how plants start and grow, the natural systems like the water cycle that enable us to farm, and more. They’ll develop a deeper appreciation for how ecosystems are created from a complex web of interdependencies that include plants, animals, soil, and climate. Best of all, they’ll do it right here on the farm, in an environment perfectly suited to developing an intuitive sense of how humans fit into the growing world - and how we work with it to produce what we need to live.
Each day will include carefully planned, interactive lessons on nature and natural processes. We’ll enjoy a snack together mid-morning, and take a break at the end of the day for a lunch made with Snuck Farm greens and veggies. Spots in our Nature Class are limited, so visit our website to reserve your child’s summer nature experience today!
