2021 Kid and Teen Cooking Camps

In our Kid and Teen 3-day cooking camps, each student will participate in creating delicious dishes, focused on healthy meal prep and local fresh food. They will taste yummy flavors and work with seasonal ingredients as they experience just how fun cooking can be. Learning to cook is an important life skill and learning the basics while young helps lay the foundation for a lifetime of food appreciation and healthy habits.

It’s our hope that as they come to the farm, see and learn where their food comes from and learn how to prepare it with their own hands, they will be more connected to themselves, each other and the earth they inhabit.

Kids age 9-12: June 9th, 10th, 11th
Teens age 13-15: June 16th, 17th, 18th
Times: 10am-12pm, all dates.

What to expect:

  • Students will learn cooking foundations, baking science, and meal preparation in an age-appropriate way, with teens adding on a knife skills element.
  • The course will begin with a tour of the farm and an overview of what we grow and the importance of local, healthy food.
  • Cooking will be hands-on, focused on healthy, seasonal ingredients.
  • Each day, the students will make at least 2 recipes, focused on a mealtime and leave with the recipes, knowledge and experience to recreate each meal at home.
**All equipment, supplies and course material will be provided.
