Snuck Farm’s Cut-Flower Nursery FAQ

We are pleased to officially announce the launch of Snuck Farm’s Cut-Flower Nursery for the 2021 growing season. We, like you, are committed to growing quality crops as close to our end customer as possible. As this is our first season, we are excited you are joining us  while we build the first nursery exclusively catering to the needs of Utah’s cut-flower farmers.  Please read through the Q&A below to learn more about the nursery’s 2021 season.

How do I become a customer? 

This year you become a customer by placing your order on our website between Monday Nov 23rd- Tuesday Dec 1st. Please note that our order model might change in years to come as we learn what works best for us and our customers. 

What is your pricing? 

On average, plugs price is $0.20-0.40 per plug. The price per flat is listed in the table below. Please note that these prices are for our introductory growing year and are subject to change as we refine our process over the growing seasons to come.  

When will I get my plugs? 

This spring we will have 3 different pick-up times. Specific pick up time and day will be determined by mother nature, but we will be sure to contact you 2 weeks before so you can plan accordingly.  

April 1st-14th

June 1st-14th

Note: Some crops will only be available for one pickup and others will be available for multiple pick-ups (i.e. Lisianthus will only be available for the April pick up and Zinnias will be available for both May and June. Your options for pick-ups up will be selected when you add the item to your cart.

Is my order guaranteed? 

In the event that we are unable to obtain the seed for the variety you selected or if there is a crop failure in our greenhouse, then we will contact you with the option to accept a substitution or cancel and receive a refund. No refunds are issued for crop failures after plugs have left our care. 

Do you deliver? 

Orders are only available for pick-up at Snuck Farm in Pleasant Grove, Utah. We do not have the ability to deliver at this time. 

The plug flat counts are more than I need, can I order smaller amounts? 

Unfortunately no, to simplify things all flat counts are as posted. If the plug count is too high for your operation, we recommend that you partner with another farmer and split a flat. 

Who will be growing my plugs? 

Mariana from Snuck Farm will be managing this new venture for Snuck Farm. She has a degree in botany and has been farming professionally for over 10 years. Mariana has a soft spot for cut-flowers as she worked for a florist for two years before attending college.  She has been predominantly vegetable farming but is excited to bring her expertise into helping the cut flower farmers of Utah get quality locally grown plugs.  If you have questions you can contact her at mariana@snuckfarm.com.

What if I’m not ready to order now, can I order later? 

Since this is our first year, we are trying to gauge sales ahead of time to the best of our abilities in order to be cost-effective and minimize waste. We hope in future seasons to be able to be more flexible but for the 2021 season we will need orders to be placed between Monday Nov 23rd- Tuesday Dec 1st. If we happen to have extra as we near the pickup date, we will post them for sale and send a notification email.
